From December 12 to 13, according to the memorandum of understanding on consumer policy cooperation between China, Japan and South Korea signed in 2006, the General Administration of market supervision held the Eighth China Japan South Korea consumer policy consultation in Shanghai. The meeting was attended by the network supervision department of the General Administration of market supervision, China Consumer Association, Japan consumer department, Japan national life center, South Korea Fair Trade Commission, South Korea consumer Institute and other relevant institutions, as well as the three countries cooperation Secretariat of China, Japan and South Korea.
At the closing meeting on 12, the Secretariat of China Japan South Korea cooperation delivered a speech, and representatives of China, Japan and South Korea made keynote speeches and exchange discussions on three topics such as consumer policy trends of China, Japan and South Korea in recent years, cross-border consumer dispute resolution, and strengthening consumer education and guidance. After the closed door meeting, representatives of China, Japan and South Korea and relevant personnel of the Secretariat of China Japan South Korea cooperation visited relevant enterprises in Shanghai to understand the practice and experience of implementing the main responsibility of consumer rights protection and dealing with consumer disputes.
At the opening meeting on the morning of the 13th, representatives from China, Japan and South Korea made keynote speeches and exchange discussions on the topic of "consumer protection in e-commerce". Some provincial and municipal market supervision bureaus, consumer associations and representatives of relevant enterprises attended the opening meeting and participated in the exchange and discussion of relevant topics.
It is understood that China's market regulatory authorities attach great importance to international exchanges and cooperation in the field of consumer protection, and have actively carried out exchanges and cooperation with many countries and regions including Japan and South Korea in recent years.
